I’m Lisa Stubbs, a counsellor based in Amesbury, Wiltshire. Qualified, insured and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (known as the BACP)

Warm, friendly and down to earth, I offer a safe and supportive space for you to explore your experiences, your health concerns, differences or difficulties that you may be facing. Things from your present and from your past. I will listen to you without judgment. I can offer challenge when wanted, and can be with your experiences gently and supportively. Importantly, I will work at your pace and I am skilled in building good relationships with my clients. It’s this relationship that helps to create a good experience and positive outcome.

I have 6 years experience of counselling in private practice, and have previously been a day centre manager with older people, worked in dementia care, supported family carers and worked with the National Childbirth Trust, the NHS and volunteered with Guide Dogs. I’m also a tea lover and regularly have a cup with me in session!

I have lived experience of neurodiversity, as well as completing many CPD courses in this area, and regularly work with neurodivergent clients. Additionally I have supported many parents of neurodiverse children. Teachers have regularly been a part of my client base.

My client experience lies with neurodivergence (diagnosed or suspected) anxiety, depression, loss, bereavement, miscarriage, infertility, domestic abuse, chronic health issues, menopause, low self esteem and imposter syndrome.

I work either long or short term, and can also offer one off sessions where needed. Most of my work is online via WhatsApp video (no special equipment or headsets required) and that is so easy for clients, no travel time and they can speak to me at home, from work, in the car or even in the park! I have very limited in person availability and I may revert to online only in the near future.
